Topic 04 : Consequence of deforestation – Flow Chart

IELTS Writing Task 1: The flow chart illustrates the consequences of deforestation.
Topic 4

The above flow chart shows  the impact of deforestation. Deforestation that is cutting of trees has a lot of  negative consequences. For example: floods, drought and soil erosion.

As per the chart, the primary consequence and result of deforestation could be divided into four significant categories. Heavy logging tools and equipment compress the soil, as a result it gets harder and baked. Owing to this, rainwater runs off, and floods hit.

Secondly, only a few roots manage to hold the topsoil in place, ultimately leading to soil erosion.

Third, the risk of accidental or deliberate burning of waste woods from the logging is demolished, leading to loss of biodiversity. Finally, cutting down forest leads to lesser moisture returning to the air by plants, causing lesser precipitation.
