The range shown in the graph is from 0 to 10,000 with the difference of 2500. There are 9 countries that are compared.

The graph shows the estimated comparison of population Asian elephants between 1997 and 2004.

Most of the countries have a sharp decline in the number of elephants. There are few countries where the decline iis prominent. These countries are Thailand and Malaysia.

In China the overall population increased in 2014 as compared to 1997.

India remains the only country with maximum number of the mammal, however it also witnessed a sharp decline in their number in the year 2014, the count being 7500.

Despite China’s overall area size, the mammal population is small, nearly approximate 500.

Vietnam, Laos are two countries whose number of elephants on average has been nearly the same in 1997 and 2014.

Only Cambodia and China showed an increase in the population of elephants whereas other countries showed sharp decline.
