Different medical traditions-IELTS

A number of different medical traditions are now widely known and used: Western medicine (using drugs and surgery), herbal medicine,
Definition-

You will have one hour to finish the entire writing test, including tasks 1 and 2. It is advised to complete work 1 in no more than 20 minutes and devote the remaining time to task 2, as task 2 will earn you more band than activity 1. Grammar and word usage on the test will both be taken into account when determining your score. Use around 150 words for task 1 and 250 words for task 2, respectively.

Question-

It is currently common knowledge and practise to use a variety of medical philosophies, including Western medicine (which employs medications and surgery), herbal medicine, acupuncture, homoeopathy, and others. What role does the patient's mental attitude toward their treatment play in deciding how well it works?

Sample answer-

There are many different medical therapies accessible nowadays. Patients may be unsure of which will be most successful and whether their own mental outlook on the type of treatment may have an impact on how well it works. The second of these questions will be addressed in this essay.

Many people fully trust the professional treatment provided by traditional services when they visit their doctor or go to the hospital. However, some people are not happy with the outcome. For instance, the medications they are given could have unfavourable side effects. Their first acceptance of their treatment doesn't do them any good.

In a similar vein, patients who choose for alternative therapies instead of conventional ones could become discouraged. Alternative practitioners may provide inadequate or harmful advice because of laxer qualification standards. The end outcome is that a patient who went into therapy feeling optimistic departs that treatment disheartened.

Patients may, however, approach a method of treatment with some scepticism. A person accustomed to using traditional medications and therapies can be wary about treatments based on dietary and lifestyle modifications. Nevertheless, despite their scepticism, if they adhere to such programmes, they might in fact see benefits in their health. Additionally, a patient who rejects conventional medicine could suffer an accident and benefit from the efficient care provided by traditional emergency services.

In summary, it seems that the patient's mental state is not the most important element in determining the course of treatment. Patients who go into treatment with confidence may become disillusioned, whereas patients who go into treatment with skepticism about the outcomes could be pleasantly surprised by what they have learned. Patients should look for the benefits that each type of care can provide.

Conclusion-

To prepare for this exam all you have to do is work hard and gather as many resources as possible from books, online websites, videos etc. For further information you can visit SpeakoClub and receive a lot of information regarding IELTS. Both the exams have their own importance. Nothing is impossible, not even this exam. Once you decide to clear it then all you need is a proper dedication to clear it and achieve your life goals.
